They were both done in the early 1980's.
This picture of Jesus was done in several stages. Initially it was
a quick pen and ink sketch on a piece of discarded white cardboard. After
getting sober in 1982, I was fortunate enough to go back to art school,
where I transferred the drawing onto clear acetate. I created an air-brushed
background using acrylic paint and wax, and the drawing was then placed
over the background.
